Indy 50 Gravel Rally 5/3/2025

While it was a bit cold and overcast, the riders all seemed to have a great time. I want to extend a big thank you to everyone involved in making an event like the Indy 50 possible. Most people don’t realize the long days and nights it takes to pull off something like this.

Over the past couple of years, I’ve had the opportunity to help with the Hy-Vee IndyCar Race, and it really opened my eyes to just how much work goes on behind the scenes.

The route this year was a good one, and the rain added a fun challenge by turning some of the gravel into mud. I even picked up a helpful tip from one of the riders—keeping a wooden spatula handy makes a great tool for clearing mud from the bike!

I’m already looking forward to seeing everyone at future races.
